Encuentro entre las sombras

aquel retrato triste

de sueños algo trucados

o pedazos de mar.

No existe la agonía,

se la ha llevado el viento,

y mis ojos, algo tristes,

han dejado de amar.

Sufro la melancolía

de un querer imposible

con ingenuos destellos

de un perfume, quizás.

Y cuando la sonrisa

se vuelve inaccesible,

vuelvo a encontrar en las sombras

tu retrato sin más.

English version:

Encounter among the shadows

that sad portrait

of somewhat tricked dreams

or pieces of sea.

Agony does not exist,

the wind has taken it away,

and my eyes, somewhat sad,

have stopped loving.

I suffer the melancholy

of an impossible love

with naive glimmers

of a perfume, perhaps.

And when the smile

becomes unreachable,

I find again in the shadows

your portrait, nothing more.
