—¿Qué sucede cuando caen las estrellas? —me preguntó inquieta mi pequeña, una noche en la que los astros parecían tener vida. Y yo, para evitar explicaciones científicas sobre gases que explotan a muchísima distancia, decidí alimentar su imaginación, porque la fantasía es importante cuando somos pequeños.

—Las estrellas son deseos —le respondí—. Cuando caen, se le cumplen a aquellas personas que son buenas de corazón, aquellas que sonríen sin pesares y anhelan los mejores caminos para sus amigos; que comparten sus juguetes sin intereses y tratan, día a día, de hacer una buena acción, no porque sea una orden, sino porque nace de nuestros corazones de la forma más pura, como la más hermosa de las sinfonías.

—¿Y una estrella puede caer para varias personas?

—Pues claro. Siempre que compartamos los mismos deseos, ellas pueden ser para todos los de corazón puro y mente voraz, que tienen los más sinceros de los anhelos.
