Afternoon Dreamers,

I don’t know what happened last night, but I don’t remember my dreams. The only thing I do remember was the sleep paralysis I suffered, so I am going to tell you about that.

Monday 3rd May 2021

I know I don’t sleep too well because it was very windy and rainy. Before I went to bed, I noticed the fence my car was leaning over. I was hoping this wasn’t going to fall over because it would damage my car and I had no where else where to put my car. So this kept me awake all night when all I could g=hear was the wind and rain getting stronger and stronger. I tried tom tell myself ’things will be alright’, but it didn’t help. My heart kept racing with worry as I tried to sleep. I think I got up 3 or four times to check things were alright when I looked out of the window. They were, thankfully.

This caused me to feel so tired, and it’s normally when my body is so tired that sleep paralysis kicks in. I remember I was laying on my back and I could see my husband come into my bedroom with a cup of coffee. I tried to move. Nothing happened. I tried to scream. Nothing happened. I felt like I was dead! Eventually after I don’t know how long, I managed to wake up moaning and gasping for breath. Then I heard my husband and he came in to check on me. I told him what happened, but he said I must have been dreaming.

I hate sleep paralysis. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. When I woke, I felt sick and exhausted. I felt like I had no energy at all. I wish there was a way to stop this happening. I know it happens when my body is over tired. I hope I have a good night tonight.
