Morning All,

I slept so badly last night. First of all I got woken up by an alarm that rang 5 times. I had never heard that alarm before and it woke me up suddenly. My husband was fast asleep and didn’t wake. I still don’t know what it was. I asked him to turn it off on his phone, but he said he had’t set any alarms. He thought I dreamt it. I know I didn’t! I heard it. I didn’t even want to go to the bathroom because it scared me so much. Also I had sleep paralysis at least twice last night. I will tell you about my experiences.

Friday 5th March 2021

After the alarm incident, I had the most tremendous headache. I had headache before I went to bed and this made it 10 times worse. I can’t believe my husband didn’t hear it go off. Now I know if I need help in the night, will he ever wake to help me? Then I suffered sleep paralysis. I can’t remember what I felt the first time round. I remember moaning and groaning but in a frightened way and I suddenly woke up gasping for breath. Then the second time, I remember I either dreamt about my late cat or I had another ’visit' from him. This time it wasn’t so nice. At first he came to see me and climbed on me like he did a few nights ago, but then he got a bit vicious. Like he wasn’t himself. This time I did wake up screaming and my husband did wake up and checked if I was alright. I wasn’t. I didn’t want to go back to sleep as I knew I would fall back into sleep paralysis. It frightened me so much. I think I did eventually go back to sleep, but I felt horrid when I woke up.

My regular followers will know I suffer sleep paralysis every few months or so and it’s not pleasant. I wouldn’t wish it on anybody. I’m sure it happens when I am over tired and I haven’t slept well recently. I think this can be the only explanation why I had this. Fingers crossed I have a much better night tonight.
