Cutting and sewing process of a simple card wallet made from fabric for my friend.
Hello everyone
It's a beautiful day and I bring you all greetings from this corner of my sewing room, I hope you all are doing great, today I will be sharing with you the cutting and sewing process of this simple card wallet I recently made from a piece of fabric for my friend.
Many of us go out with our wallets, purse and bag to carry few things especially cash and card to make transactions and payments of goods and services rendered to us, this cards are needed to be kept safe and secure so as to protect it from peeling off or having scratches on the surface, in order to protect this little card, my friend requested I make her a small card wallet in which she can insert her cards before being kept in her hand bag.
This card wallet is made from a small piece of fabric with lining and interfacing with a pressing button to secure the card.
Join me in the cutting and sewing process
From this piece of fabric, I measured and cut out 8x3" with interfacing ironed on it
I cut out same measurements of lining which was placed on the right side of the main fabric
I made a little curve at the edge of the main fabric and it was sewn round leaving an opening by the side where it can be turned inside out
The excess were trimmed off and it was turned to the right side through the opening
It was neatly ironed and top stitched round
I meaasured 3" and it was folded up after which it was taken to the sewing machine where I sew on both sides
With my hand needle and thread, I fixed a pressing button on the flip cover and the other side
This is the final and beautiful outcome of card wallet made for my friend from fabric.
I hope you like the beautiful outcome, join me in my next post as I will be sharing with you beautiful creativity and craft from my sewing room.
Thanks so much for your time support comment and encouragement. Until my next, do have a great time.
