Dear ABBA,

Sometimes I sit and think...

Even without showering me with Your love,
Your care, Your grace,
and Your countless acts of kindness,
You would still be GOD.

You would still be LORD.
Still be KING.
Still be THE MONARCH OF THE UNIVERSE.

Nothing would be taken away from YOU if YOU didn't love me.

YOU are GOD all by YOURSELF.

And that leaves me wandering in my thoughts
Because Your Love was never an obligation.
YOU didn't have to choose me.
YOU didn't have to be this kind.

Yet YOU did.

Your Love is another thing entirely
It is not merely what YOU give.
It is who YOU are; LOVE

I wish I knew how to explain what Your Love feels like.
I wish words were enough.
But they always fall short.

Because Your actions have always spoken louder than language.

Every care, show of mercy;
Every gentle reminder that I am seen.

YOU have loved me in ways I could never earn,
and in ways I may never fully understand.

Not because You had to love me...
but because You wanted to.

And that truth will forever leave me in wonder
