Develop competent men and women, entrust them with responsibility, and position them strategically. Leadership that cannot reproduce itself is leadership with an expiry date.

Finally, never become so comfortable in today's assignment that you fail to prepare for tomorrow's transition. Plan your exit the day you arrive.
