PURPOSEFUL MARRIAGE IS HIGHLY PROFITABLE

Let's talk about courtship.

Courtship is not a time to engage in all the privileges of marriage. So you need to ask yourself this question: What are the privileges of marriage?

Top on the list is “Sexual Intimacy.”
Sexual intimacy is a privilege, exclusively for the married!

Courtship is not a time to be trying your sexual compatibility as they say it in the world.

You'll hear people say “We don't have sexual chemistry.” They are describing what God created, as chemistry. Chemicals are unstable, they can be high today and low tomorrow. So if you're building the future of marriage on chemistry, it means that when it is high, your marriage will be high and when it's low, your marriage will be low.

You must build your marriage on something beyond chemistry. It must be rooted in God. So your marriage won't go through storms and seasons because of whether the sex is good or bad.

Today, we see in many societies that a lady just picks up her bag and goes to stay with a man in his house. She comes with two clothes, before you know it, she has her own special hanger, before you know, her panties are in the bathroom; these are not the Christian thing to do. Those things are privileges that are exclusive to marriage, that's not what courtship is about, under Christian law.

What then is the purpose of marriage:

To prayerfully discern God's will about the relationship. When you get into courtship, you begin to ask God further questions like “Two of us that you have brought together, what is the intent for this union?” There should be time for prayers in courtship.

You want to prayerfully discern because marriage is not just for companionship, it's not just for sexual satisfaction and pleasure; marriage is for Kingdom!

That the purpose of God might be advanced
That the kingdom of God might be exalted.

Marriage is for Kingdom.

One of the most dangerous couples in the Bible is Ahab and Jezebel. Go and read how they orchestrated plans, how Jezebel was able to manipulate her husband and ultimately led Israel into idolatry—that’s how powerful marriage is.

Who a man marries and who a woman marries can determine your place in God's prophetic program. It's for Kingdom. Who you marry can determine the weight of responsibility that God can commit to your hand.

Do not marry like an unbeliever, who doesn't know God's plan or intentions for his or her union. Don't let frivolities and vain things lead you into an institution that is as sacred as marriage.
