KNOWING GOD IS QUITE REFERRING

So because you want to see the face of God, you decided to go on a one-year dry fast?

Ah! Jesus of our generation, I hail you.

Many believers have been made to think that hearing God is determined by how long they fast, how many hours they pray, or how many spiritual activities they engage in.

While fasting, prayer, and consecration are important, very important, they are not what force God to speak.

In fact, sometimes we become so occupied with spiritual activities that we miss the very God we are seeking.

You pray in tongues for hours. You fast for days. You attend every service.
Yet, there is no clarity, no direction, no revelation, no fresh understanding of God's heart.

It is worth asking: am I truly communicating with God, or am I merely performing spiritual exercises?

Prayer is communication with God.
Communication is not a one-sided conversation; it involves both speaking and listening.

Imagine calling someone and talking nonstop without allowing them to say a single word. Would that be communication?

Many of us enter God's presence with a long list of requests, complaints, and declarations. We spend an hour speaking and then leave immediately after saying "Amen." We never create room for God to respond.

God often speaks in moments of stillness.

After pouring out your heart before Him, learn to be quiet.
Sit with Him. Listen.
Reflect on His Word.
Pay attention to the gentle impressions, convictions, and directions He places in your spirit.

The noise in our hearts can sometimes be louder than the voice of God. Worry, fear, ambition, anxiety, and even excessive religious performance can make it difficult to recognize His leading.

Hearing God is not a competition of who fasted the longest or prayed the loudest. It is the result of a sincere relationship with Him.

Come to God with honesty.
Bring Him your weaknesses, doubts, fears, failures, and desires.
Stop trying to impress Him with your spirituality.

In order to hear God, you don't have to act overly spiritual.

You don't need to walk around with a permanently squeezed face just to convince people that you're deep in the Spirit.

Y️ou don't have to ignore people's greetings as though you've already relocated to heaven and every "Good morning" is a distraction from your encounter with God.

Sometimes, we confuse spirituality with appearance.

You see someone dressed in white from head to toe, speaking in a mysterious tone, responding to every greeting with "Bless you," and suddenly everyone assumes they are the closest person to God in the room.

But hearing God is not a costume.
God is not looking for performance; He is looking for fellowship.

Some of the deepest encounters with God happen when a believer simply becomes still enough to listen.
Don't be overly focused on appearing spiritual while trying to hear God.

Focus on knowing Him.
The goal is not merely to have visions and revelations; the goal is intimacy with the One who gives them.

"Be still, and know that I am God." — Psalm 46:10
