Went out for a check up as my toddler got sick and took a quick mall stroll. You know what? His cough was gone like magic.
It's been a week since my last post and I was planning to write an update but failed to do so. The past few days, I was focused on taking care of my son as he got sick. Nope, nothing serious but since I am alone it is still tiring. It started last week when he caught a cold which means he won't sleep lying in bed. The whole night we are just in one corner of the bed, him sleeping on my shoulders and I sitting. Time to time, I laid him down to bed but after a few minutes he would cry again.
Even during the day, his nap scenario was the same. This took two days and on the 3rd he was fine. Yes, still with a runny nose but he sleeps soundly. My back and arms are aching because he was heavy, 13.6kgs. Plus my head was throbbing due to lack of sleep. Yet, last Saturday night he started coughing. AT first I thought he got choked from his saliva (drooling due to teething.) Thus, the next minute he started throwing up after milk because of coughing. The whole night was spent changing his clean clothes, taking out pillows and bedding with puke. Carrying him upward so he would feel better. His pedia isn't available for consultation the next day since it's Sunday. In the end I had no plan because he is still fine. Yet, Sunday evening his cough worsened and as well as throwing up. Our house literally smells like spoiled milk. At day time he wanted to be carried so I had no time to clean up. I felt so tired that Monday morning around three while rocking him back to sleep, I can't help but to cry. Some of you might say, it's just normal compared to other Mom's but what can I do? I felt so worn out and alone. Crying makes me feel better so I did. This was me since I gave birth, on random days and nights I would cry sometimes for no reason at all. Postpartum? Maybe an episode.
So yesterday, we went to his Pedia for consultation and he prescribed this.
After, I decided to drop by at the nearest mall and this is him;
Who said this little man was sick? He was so happy walking and running around. After we bought his medicine I planned on eating lunch but most of the fast foods are full. I was too hungry and could no longer wait, so I ended up here.
Hawker Chan says taste of Singapore and this is one of their best selling. Food tasted okay but we almost broke one of the condiments.
Nope not me, but Caleb. Good thing I was able to catch the lid cover, lol.
We didn't stay there for a long time. Left after eating and was on our way going out but passed by here.
Caleb loves it, we had a quick photo. Then he drops and tips and guess what? The audacity of this little man to open the tip box 😂. He wanted to get some coins!
I don't know if the medicine prescribed by Pedia was effective or if my son just wanted to have a reason to go out. I only gave him once (once a day for 3 days) and to my surprise he was fine last night. His cough was gone like magic.
