A month after joining, how was my affiliate journey?
Last month, I shared that I decided to venture in affiliate marketing by joining a certain platform, Tiktok. So after a month some of you might ask,
- How's the progress?
- Was it worth it?
- Is there a potential to earn?
To answer, let me start with my account.
As of the writing, I had 633 followers and managed to upload several videos. So far, I am confident to say that I managed to improve my work compared to the first one I uploaded. Views sometimes are okay and my highest was 1700 without paying for boost.
Also, having few shop ads - means the platform will be boosting your videos.
Though my sales aren't that much at least it increased 100% and for a starter like me it was already an achievement.
Not only that but the other day I finally had my FIRST FREE SAMPLE. this is one of the perks that I mentioned.
The trending kangkong chips here in my country. The founder was a 17 year old boy who is now a millionaire.
I already posted my review hoping to generate sales. I feel pressured, LOL.
What I learned?
- I had experienced the feeling of every peso count after seeing my commission from one video I posted.
I just hope to be able to sell more, which I doubt now will happen.
Not all collab invites are REAL.
Received one when I opened my notification but turns out maybe the seller did a mass invite. Then, when the affiliate sends a request they will evaluate the accounts. 90% of mine didn't meet their criteria (GMV- total sales per month.)No need to create a long video not unless you're a well known creator. Most of the viewers stopped watching after seconds.
Now, do I find it worth it and maybe a bread and butter in the future?
For me it's a YES.
If you worked on full time which in my case I could not. The engagement and total of videos uploaded is also one of the factors in generating sales. Yet who knows? My son Caleb is growing and maybe I could spend more time in affiliate . As of now at least I am building my account.
