Bonding with my toddler, carousel rides and dinner.
As I posted here in my previous blog, I felt overwhelmed staying at home and planning to unwind. Supposedly, the other week but then due to emotions getting high did it in the next day. After my son Calen woke up from his afternoon nap, we left home.
There is no specific activity on my mind but to roam around the mall.
Then we passed by here at a small carousel. Caleb hadn't tried yet so I went to the cashier to buy us a ticket. One cost $1 but since my toddler is below three feet, it's free!
Glad he was because when the carousel started moving and the horse up and down* he got scared 🤣. He was close to crying that I needed to lift him out of the horse. All throughout we are just standing 🤣.
I think it's a normal reaction of a toddler since it was his first time.
Where to next?
We transferred here.
I bought $1 worth of token and let Caleb experience a few rides. Did he enjoy?
Don't get deceived by these photos, lol! He actually didn't. Yes, he would stay but only if I am with him. However, it was too small and only kids were allowed. So, I was just there, standing beside him to guide. The rest of the rides were the same. I even't wasn't able to take some photos or videos because my hands were full.
It's fine as usually happy moments are undocumented as we are too focused on the moment. Just, I felt regretful as I wasn't able to send it to his Daddy. To let him see how our son enjoyed the day.
After we spent all the tokens, we went out and I was thinking of eating. It would be an early dinner. Caleb was happily walking while holding my hands when I heard him say "WOW".
Turns out there was his cute bear so I let him have a hug. Yet you know what he did?
He pushed this poor bear and was thankful he wasn't that strong or else? Ah ah the audacity of this little man!
I asked for an apology and put some tip on the box.
Since we left home at almost four in the afternoon, when I checked the time we needed to eat dinner as it was near twilight. Shakeys is the nearest!
I just ordered one solo meal and vanilla shake for drinks. In fairness to my son, yes he is naughty but tolerable. Seemed like I hit the goal. He was busy eating just my problem was now he owned my drinks 🤣
Not only that he doesn't want me holding as I try to assist. What if it would slip on his hands?
It's almost as if my reflexes aren't that fast.
Yet how could I get mad if he is this cutie? See the smile? Mama might get tired of carrying and chasing you but still would always make sure you are gonna enjoy your childhood.
