Nuevo intento de pan de masa madre

Si hay una cualidad que me caracteriza es que, cuando me propongo dominar una preparación, no me detengo hasta conseguirlo. Así que continúo en mis intentos de lograr una hogaza de pan de masa madre que quede tan aireada como las que he tenido la dicha de probar.

Another Attempt at Sourdough Bread

If there’s one thing that defines me, it’s that when I set my mind on mastering a recipe, I don’t stop until I succeed. So I’m continuing my efforts to bake a loaf of sourdough bread that’s just as light and airy as the ones I’ve had the pleasure of tasting.

Todavía no lo logro, pero considero que el último pan que hice se va acercando más a lo que busco. Ya estuve investigando las posibles fallas y viendo qué puedo mejorar, así que con el favor de Dios espero lograr ese pan "gordito" muy pronto. El sabor me ha gustado, pero a la miga aún le falta más volumen. ¡Pero no me rindo!

I haven't quite got it right yet, but I think the last loaf I baked is getting closer to what I'm aiming for. I've already been looking into what might have gone wrong and figuring out what I can improve, so with God's help, I hope to bake that “plump” loaf very soon. I liked the flavor, but the crumb still needs more volume. But I'm not giving up!

Me sorprenden los buenos precios de Mundo Total

Fui a la tienda Mundo Total a buscar un vaso/termo para café, pero aunque no pude conseguir uno como el que tenía en mente, no pude dejar de sorprenderme con los precios que manejan. Si los comparo, por ejemplo, con la tienda Mango Bajito, que es tan famosa a nivel nacional por sus buenos precios, debo admitir que no hay comparación.

I'm surprised by Mundo Total's great prices

I went to the Mundo Total store to look for a coffee mug or thermos, but even though I couldn't find the one I had in mind, I couldn't help but be surprised by their prices. If I compare them, for example, to Mango Bajito, which is so famous nationwide for its great prices, I have to admit there's no comparison.

Not only do they have beautiful, colorful, and unique products, but the prices are also affordable. For example, I loved an egg cup that costs just over $2; you can also find sets of four glass jars—perfect for homemade jam or tomato sauce—for around $6. I was pleasantly surprised!

Días atrás estuve en el cumpleaños de un primito y fue en un parque infantil; usualmente su abuela y su mamá preparan casi todas las delicias que se degustan en la fiesta, pero en esta ocasión no fue así.

A few days ago, I went to my little cousin’s birthday party, which was held at a playground. Usually, his grandmother and mother prepare almost all the treats served at the party, but this time it was different.

Todo lucía muy lindo, pero honestamente extrañé los sabores a los que estoy acostumbrada; encontré el pastel extremadamente dulce y hasta seco. No sé si haya sido cosa mía, pero no considero que lo hermoso del pastel fuera con su sabor; esperaba más. ¡Esta es una catarsis foodie! (Lol).

Everything looked really pretty, but honestly, I missed the flavors I'm used to; I found the cake to be extremely sweet and even dry. I don't know if it was just me, but I don't think the cake's beauty matched its taste; I was expecting more. This is a foodie catharsis! (Lol).
