Un ratito de paseo [Esp/Eng]

Hola, ¿qué tal, amigos, cómo están? Por aquí todo muy bien, gracias a Dios; espero que por allá todo esté muy bien, gracias a Dios también. No sé por qué, pero yo últimamente ando como con mucha calor, jajajaja, y la luz no colabora, pero aquí seguimos para adelante.

Saben que yo no conocía Más por Menos, hablo del supermercado nuevo de aquí de la isla, bueno, no tan nuevo. La cuestión es que mi hermana literalmente siempre anda buscando los supermercados donde puede comprar los cupones para dos cuotas de cashea, y nosotros íbamos a ir a Nova, pero ella no tenía cupón, así que fuimos a Conocer Más por Menos, específicamente el que está en Makro, que yo no lo conocía.

Hello, how are you all, friends? Everything’s going very well here, thank God; I hope things are going very well over there too, thank God. I don’t know why, but I’ve been feeling really hot of late, ha ha ha, and the electricity isn’t helping, but we’re carrying on regardless.

You know, I didn’t know about Más por Menos—I’m talking about the new supermarket here on the island, well, not that new. The thing is, my sister is literally always on the lookout for supermarkets where she can buy vouchers for two instalments of cash back, and we were going to go to Nova, but she didn’t have a voucher, so we went to check out Más por Menos, specifically the one in Makro, which I hadn’t been to before.

Al llegar, yo no sabía que también eran pet friendly. Resulta que cuando yo llegué con Jade, uno de los muchachos me hizo una seña, pero yo de verdad que pensaba que era para que me saliera por la perrita, pero resulta que el muchacho me estaba recomendando muy amablemente que subiera a la perrita en los carritos que tienen destinados para ellos, así como les mostré la otra vez en Río, y Jade muy tranquila montada en su carro.

Me gustó mucho porque todo se ve superlimpio y algo que les puedo decir es que yo siempre me quejo de la atención de Rattan; es algo que te tratan como a la mala gana, pero la verdad es que, por lo menos los que nos tocaron a nosotros, tanto en la salida como las cajeras, de verdad que demasiado amables, cero quejas, personas bastante chéveres.

When I arrived, I didn’t realise they were pet-friendly too. It turns out that when I arrived with Jade, one of the lads gave me a signal, but I honestly thought he was telling me to take the dog out, but it turns out the lad was very kindly suggesting I put the dog in the trolleys they have set aside for them, just as I showed them the other time in Rio, and Jade was very calm sitting in her trolley.

I really liked it because everything looks spotless, and one thing I can tell you is that I always complain about the service at Rattan; it’s as if they’re serving you reluctantly, but the truth is that, at least the staff we dealt with, both at the exit and the cashiers, were genuinely very friendly – zero complaints, really nice people.

Ustedes saben que yo siempre voy a los super y me detengo un rato viendo las cositas de mascotas y, aunque no tenían variedad en accesorios, tenían comida de todo tipo para ellos. Me encantó eso y algo que también amé fue que comí las papas de Sorty; saben quién es, me imagino, la que hace labores sociales para los niños necesitados. A mí me encantó y son superbuenas; la verdad fue un día agradable, me distraje bastante la mente, gracias a Dios. ¡Saludos!

You know I always pop into the supermarket and spend a bit of time looking at the pet bits and bobs, and although they didn’t have much choice in accessories, they had all sorts of food for them. I loved that, and another thing I really loved was that I had some of Sorty’s chips; I imagine you know who she is—the one who does charity work for children in need. I loved them and they’re absolutely delicious; it really was a lovely day, I managed to take my mind off things quite a bit, thank goodness. Best wishes!
