Sunday morning run
A lot had happened last week, including an unexpected hospital visit and some days where my wife was recovering quite a bit. With the next chemo on Tuesday I hope that knowing there will be a couple of “good days” after the bad days will give her some additional strenght.
Today I was able to help my daughter again with preparing for her cycling / traffic exam - by running next to her. Apart from that it was very nice to be able to go for a small run, this moment has turned into a beautiful weekly moment where we could have a good conversation. As she is currently 11 years, it is particular hard on her to see her mom sick and (family) under stress. She could just vent a bit and I am gratefull for being able to be there.
With regards to my running, my left feet felt good before we started today (pain 1 out of 10) after 7,5 km it started playing up (4 out of 10) - so rest is helping, and we are getting closer. The injury comes at a bad time as I would love to be able to release some tention by doing a daily run. But for now I just need to accept that it will take a few weeks before that is completely settled.
But in the meantime, I did enjoy todays run and feel it does give me some strenght heading into next week!
