Lunch run
Whereas I prefer running in a temperature around 5 C, today it was 30 C. Hard, as I am not used to it but we will make it work!
I took 1,5L of water with me and just went for an enjoyable 11km. As I went cycling (2x 9km earlier today) I had a good indication of the warmth. The direct sun was hot, but the humidity was actually not that bad.
I took a slightly different route compared to other days, mostly to ensure I would not be tempted to add too much extra kilometers to the run (adding would mean running parallel to the A13 highway, so that is not that tempting), I sticked to the more beautiful parts of the area. Which was awesome as now everything is in full bloom.
I noticed that while running went pretty smooth, my heart rate was a bit higher compared to how I would normally handle this pace (+/- +15 bpm) which is logical with the suddenly higher temperatures and should be get back to normal within a week or two when I had some more exposure to the sun.
Tomorrow we will have the introductory meeting with the oncologist. Hopefully we have more information regarding the plan(ning) 🙏
