Investigate the voices or stay away from the painting.
Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog. Sometimes they say ignorance is bliss, and most of the time I cannot help but agree with that saying. The more you know, the more worried and bothered you become, but when you don't know at all, you are a lot happier and moving around with nothing at all bothering you, so I think every single piece of knowledge you have or want to get comes at a cost. I saw a quote on TikTok that says "knowledge will stress you," and trust me, it is just saying the same thing as "ignorance is bliss"; every piece of knowledge acquired will put you through stress. You must undergo stress to acquire knowledge no matter how small.
Sometimes not knowing at all saves you from a lot of stress. In many movies I have seen, neighbors are on good terms with a serial killer and are not hunted by the killer as long as they do not know that they are serial killers, but the moment they find out the truth, they become a target and are now hunted by the killer. You see that knowledge, even though it is good, has turned one into a target and caused them to worry about a killer on their tail? Sometimes there are things that harm us around us, but they won't come after us because we do not know that they could, but they tend to harm us the moment we learn about what they are capable of.
So in many cases ignorance is bliss; not knowing saves you from a lot to worry about and reduces the things that bother you to the barest minimum. You are only worried about the things you know about, while those you don't know do not bother you at all. So I think we are all getting the point and direction I am driving at; sometimes don't try to know, and don't go digging lest you dig your own grave. As much as knowledge is good and is power, you have to let the sleeping dog lie.
So if a voice calls out to me from a painting on the wall, as much as I will be curious and will want to know more, I will hold back that curiosity and hold back as much as I can and won't let knowing land me in trouble or a problem that could have been avoided. Sometimes we have the best of life by not knowing, and cases like this are one of those cases where not knowing saves you from having more things to worry about.
