A relationship where commitment is the watchword is better than being single.
Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog. Lately the relationship space or pool is so messed up to the point where those who are not in any relationship are glad that they are not in any relationship, whereas things were not so before now. We once had days where love and relationships were something nobody wanted to miss out on, but lately the story is completely different; people want to miss out on love and relationships because at least 90% of relationships these days only lead to heartbreak and betrayal. Lately people cannot even vouch for their partners because they might end up disappointed after vouching and even putting their lives on the line for them.
One of the reasons the relationship pool is the mess that it is today is because even those who do not know what being in a relationship entails are also getting into relationships, and since they don't know what being in a relationship comes with, they end up making a mess and making it look like being in a relationship is one of the wrong choices people make in this generation. I am not saying being single is bad or a wrong choice, but the same thing follows being in a relationship; they are both good, but I think the advantages that follow being in a relationship with the right person, one that knows what it means to be in a relationship, outweigh being or staying single.
The only reason it feels like being single is peaceful these days is because of the reason I have already stated above: people who are not ready or willing to be committed are rushing into relationships, probably because their friends are in one or because of pressure from home, and then they end up painting the wrong image of what a relationship looks and feels like. Instead of staying single, I think I would rather be in a relationship with someone who understands what being in a relationship means, the responsibilities that come with it, and the expectations society has from people in a relationship.
If you view a relationship as not peaceful or as one that drains you, it is because you have not experienced being in a relationship with someone who understands what being in a relationship feels like, someone who knows that they ought to contribute to making a relationship work and not take from a relationship for it to work. Lately we have many women who think relationships just have to do with them taking or receiving and never giving; they don't want to give anything, not even commitment or any form of support. If you enter into a relationship with a person with such a mentality, it will drain you, so instead of being single, I'd rather be in a relationship with someone who understands how a relationship works.
