Goals and how we abandon them.
Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog. Over the years I have come to see that it is very easy to write down goals and how we plan to achieve them, where the difficulties come in is when we start working towards achieving these goals or working towards making them a reality, it is at that point that we realise that writing goals is easy and achieving or making them a reality is very difficult. You can take 5 minutes to write out a goal and take 6 months or even years to make them happen.
At the start of every year, we have laid out goals and a plan to achieve them but we tend not to achieve every goal written out, sometimes we just give up on the way after giving our all and sometimes our goals are not achieved because we did not put in enough effort to make it a reality, sometimes we just keep procrastinating until the year is over again and we have to roll over that goal to another year and add it to that year's list of goals, sometimes we procrastinate and wait until it is almost the end of the year and then we start doing things in a rush and end up claiming not to have enough time and that is why we were not able to achieve our set goals.
At the start of every year, every individual writes out their goal for the year but trust me when I say only 30% of people actually put in the work towards achieving their goal while the remaining 70% just write them out because others are writing but never put in the work and are not even willing to do so, rather they com who with excuses as to why they could not put in the work. As much as a few excuses as to why we are not able to achieve our goals might valid, 98% of excuses made as to partaining why goals are not achieved is just so we are not blamed.
I have been able to achieve just a few of my goals this year while I keep making excuses for my major goal of this year which is to become a full mobile and web designer, as much as my offline job keeps getting in the way and not leaving me with much of a choice than pausing my dream and goal of becoming a mobile and web designer, I still feel like I am only making up excuses to cover for my lagging behind on that goal.
This goal of mine has had more obstacles than I can count, my offline job, my laptop battery becoming really bad to the point of my laptop becoming a desktop and can only be used with power supply and now I have been advised to stop and just fix the laptop battery as doing that will do more harm than good. Sometimes we want to achieve a goal but the circumstances surrounding doing so stops us from doing that.
