When you photograph ancient or classical buildings, what makes you annoyed in your photos? Modern skyscrapers and concrete towers behind old architecture, spoiling the composition, making the ancient building look insignificant in the face of the surrounding modern structures. Yes, precisely!

this ancient classical building of China, there were two modern towers behind it, one of which I left in the frame, and the other – I cut out during photo editing.

The ancient construction you see in the photo above is part of the legendary Yu Garden. This classical Chinese building complex is one of the most famous ancient gardens in Shanghai, China. Yu Garden was built in the sixteenth century AD as a retirement villa for Pan Yunduan, a wealthy Ming dynasty scholar who wanted to provide his parents with a home full of luxury. The construction of the building complex began in 1559 and was completed in 1577.

Yu Garden covers an area of more than twenty thousand square meters in Shanghai, China. It is a sanctuary of ancient architecture, offering a unique and enchanting view of classical Jiangnan-style building structures of southern China, including various pavilions, winding corridors, terraces, ponds, and classical buildings inside the garden.

Have you ever found yourself capturing such architectural masterpieces as ancient buildings in your photos? Do you have problems removing modern signs from ancient buildings when photographing historical places?

Tell me what you think about the contrast between ancient architecture and modern metropolis in the comments below
