the view of the Shanghai television tower both during the day and at night when it is lit up is one of the most breathtaking sights in the world.

The TV tower in this photo is the Oriental Pearl Radio and Television Tower located in Shanghai, China. This building is 468 meters in height and was built between 1991-1994, opening in 1994. It was previously the tallest building in China before new buildings overtook it in height, but it still remains an amazing work of modern engineering with it's unique design of spheres connected by legs.

That night, my tour group and I went on a dinner cruise on the river which was an amazing experience. Not only was it incredible to be on the river and see the city skyline, it was also a photographers dream scene with the beautiful reflections of the glowing tower.

this Tower is located in the Lujiazui financial district in Pudong along the Huangpu River. Its design was inspired by an ancient Chinese poem about pearl falling onto a jade plate. The building serves as a broadcasting tower as well as having observation decks, a revolving restaurant, and history museum inside the huge spheres.
