Welcoming our new Kittens, An enlargement and increase in our farm animals. A whole new experience, Farm animal business
Hello Hive
It's a beautiful new day and I am so so happy, more so because of the new life that now surround us.
This was how my evening went yesterday. Gradually our circle of farm animals is growing.
First it was the turkey who gave us some poult and now the bunny has done thesame.
These new poults are what we just had in the poultry cage just some few days ago. They are barely a week now and just yesterday evening our Rabbit decided to copy the turkey by giving us new born kittens. It was a moment of joy and I was so glad to see these beautiful new and cute life all around me. Both the kittens and the poults are so cute and looking clean. They haven't touched any dirt and their cages have been kept clean so that they can survive and not get infected.
These are all new things we are experiencing this year contrary to last year and it is all working according to plan.
Having bought and raised some Rabbit earlier we lost the two male and female rabbit we bought even before the started having babies.
My uncle who has been away from town just came home and brought us this new bunny who was already pregnant. She wanted us to have her since he was having a busy schedule and didn't have much time to take care of her. Having travelled for almost 10hours I keep wondering how she managed to survive the long journey.
This is barely 48hrs of her arrival she decided to bring forth the kittens.
Having returned from the farm yesterday, I was so tired and decided to rest and enjoy a plate of this Soursoup that I happened to fortunately picked from the farm.
It was a delicious plate, there and then I heard the children screaming that they can see a new life around her.
Apparently the children were delighted to see the new bunny in the compound and they have been checking in on her every now and then. We have placed her in a cage and put a lock on it so that their hands can not reach the rabbit to disturb her. It was there that these cuties came forth.
There are about 4 of then here. All very tiny and shy. They are all lying on top each other. It's my first time of seeing kittens this tiny. Before you open the cage they all run to the behind and hit themselves. I tried feeding the mother with some back of the Soursoup but she refused. Over the year I have feed our previous bunny with potato leaves and other debris from our kitchen. We keep trying them on these meals to try and know the varieties of food they enjoy which can be healthy for them as well.
Eventually I left some grasses for her that she enjoys eating and whenever she has rested well she can have something to eat.
