Yesterday was another day in the farm and we were there on time to see what we can do. From weeding to cultivation of the land or the planting of seeds, either way, one thing or the other has to be done .

During the raining seasons like this there is always work to be done in the farm as we work about growing certain quantity of the various crops we eat.

The work for corn had already been started with and that will run mostly through the year, corn mostly do not have specific planting times. Once the rain is failing and there is good soil corn gro very well.

Next is our rice that we have started growing in the nursery
We have planted at about 10days ago and it's a pleasure to see that they have all germinated very well.

There are usually one or two challenges with growing rice in the nursery. Sometimes you have birds that pick and eat thm up while growing, we have to do some form of mulching for them to conceal them for the first two weeks while they germinate but this time around we haven't witnessed such issues and majority of the planted rice seedling all germinated.

There are different species of rice with their various benefits in terms of lifecycle, taste and all. Occasionally we engage in planting one or two of the different types of specie in order to enjoy the various benefits that each has to offer.
