Creating an E-Catalogue for My Community Library
The problem of the library in my place is that the book only collect dusts.
Since I am taking over the library this year, we're planning to turn the space into a co-working spot but also a library. I also have a plan to send the books as book rotation service to nearby kindergarten. So to ensure the program runs smoother, I decided to put my books into e-catalogue to also keep track of their rotation.
Initially, I thought to just vibe-code the entire system but there was a more convenient way to do it through Librarika. I also saw some library utilize this system and something more reasonable within my operation budget. So, rather than spending my time to create it from scratch, I'd just utilize it.
For now, the problem is that I need to catalogue over 2.000 books which are mostly children's book and a few law & self-help books.
You can also check out the collections that I have tried to enter here :

For now, we're still using the free version of it because again, I am still saving up for the whole plan. So, finger crossed I got an angel investors again ๐คฃ if I get an Angel Investors, it would be better if we just you know, build the whole thing from scratch rather than relying on SaS but since this for now is the cheapest option, my plan is also to sell e-books through this catalogue which is something on the horizon.
Right now, I am the only person working on this and it's going to take some time. However, since I am also paid to grow the library, this is the newest addition / attempt for me to grow the library.
My current daily goal is to catalogue 15 books/day to find the fastest patten to actually catalogue every of our collections. I might have to hire an intern as well to do it for me but we'll see. These books so far has no online catalogue, they have a database somewhere but an online would be something better for them.
Honestly, I am pretty excited for all these and I know, my excitement typically is a good thing. As long as I don't let unnecessary bad energy to influence me, I'd work peacefully and finish this project as soon as possible.
