Undead Rexx: A Relic Reawakens with Outsider Ruleset!
Hello Splinterlands warriors and welcome back to my blog! Undead Rexx is perhaps the oldest set in my collection that remained unused for years. The Outsider ruleset has resurrected this relic from the past and I was pleased to used it in my recent battle. In today's post, we'll go over his lore, his stats & abilities as well as show a battle where I used him as a tank.
Lore
Undead Rexx is a scary zombie dinosaur from the Death Splinter. It was once a mighty beast, it now stalks the battlefield as an undead monster driven by dark magic rather than instinct. Its huge jaws and aggression make it a natural frontline combatant. It crushes enemies with pure power.
Stats and Abilities
The Undead Rexx was designed for pure power and damage. In the Untamed era, this huge damage is special for a common card. He starts of with a melee damage of five but it will only go up to six until he maxed out. He gains the Trample ability at level five which will carry over his damage to the next target. At level nine, he gains Stun which makes his target lose a turn. He is quite fast with four speed and on defense, he has twelve health.
Featured Battle
The battle was one from my own. The ruleset included Stampede and Magic Reflect. My plan was to go with the Death splinter archon Razi Clanktrap and then use range units since the archon grants Close Range ability. I was choosing a tank then I saw that my old cards can be played so I included the Undead Rexx more for nostalgia than synergy.
My opponent's build was tough and anchored on his beefy tank, Der Gottem Gearnut. If my team can't dispose of him then they will lose the battle. Gearnut was supported by a healer and additional armor by the Frontier archon. His supporting damage dealers were decent, each doing two melee damage while his healer had a four range attack.
Luckily, my team was made up of huge damage dealers including Undead Rexx. They worked together to defeat Der Gottem Gearnut. The healing couldn't keep up with the damage dealt by my team and soon Gearnut was defeated. Once he was gone, the battle was easier and my team took the victory.
