An Eternally Undying Combo
Hello Splinterlands warriors and welcome back to my blog!
Back in the day before the Chaos Legion set came out, the top combo was known as Llama-Kron. It included the legendary summoner Scarred Llama Mage and Kron the Undying.
Kron is a legendary unit that deals three magic damage, has eleven health and two speed. He can heal himself and has Divine Shield ability at level two. Most people only used a level one or two Kron at that time.
Scarreed Llama Mage is a legendary summoner now called archon that gives two health stats and the Last Stand ability. It raises all stats by 50% to the last remaining unit. At level three, Kron gains the Last Stand ability by himself so pairing with Llama becomes less effective.
The strategy was to place Kron in the back so that ideally, he will be the last unit standing and thus gain the Last Stand ability from the archon. This combo wins more than 90% at that time and is really difficult to beat making the undying part true for Kron.
Recently I came across a combo that makes Kron really difficult to beat: Eternal Tofu. When you have "eternal" and "undying" in your units then you can be sure that they will be tanky.
Eternal Tofu grants units two health stats same as Llama. He also gives the Thorns ability to punish melee attackers. Further he can grant the Triage and Scavenger abilities to Kron. If you have a level three Kron with Last Stand ability then pairing with Eternal Tofu makes more sense. The Triage ability enables him to heal allies while the Scavenger ability adds more to his health as more units get defeated.

In this battle, player LINIS used the combo. He only had a level one Kron but he's already pretty stacked at this level.
He had Skrag the Gnaw at tank. He deals decent damage while having excellent defense. He also has Poison Burst to punish his enemies once he gets defeated. Among his units was Venka the Vile, another legendary card who deals four melee damage and has the Charge ability.
His unlucky enemy was me. I used my usual elf team with Quilliun Legionary in the tank position. This team has a high win rate against standard enemies however, LINIS team is anything but standard with four legendary cards in the team. As the fight dragged on, Kron's health kept increasing as more units get defeated.
At this point, my team had no chance of winning and got wiped out.
