Sergeant Grauzral is a legendary Water unit. She is a six mana ranged attacker and part of the Rebellion reward cards. Her combination of abilities makes her particularly effective in rulesets involving poison and burning. In today's post, we'll take a look at her lore, stats & abilities and show a sample battle where I used her effectively in Noxious Fumes battle.

Lore

Aura Grauzral is good at water magic, but her talents were ignored when she was forced to serve as a common foot soldier in the Belurocian military. She was forced to use melee instead of magic and angered by the insult, she joined the invading Chaos legions and pledged her loyalty and magic to Silus of the Rift. In return, she earned the rank of sergeant in the Chaos Empire, where her magical abilities were finally recognized.

Stats and Abilities

Sergeant Grauzral is a six mana legendary card of the Water splinter. At maxed level she deals three range damage, has six health and four speed. She has three useful abilities. First she has Opportunity that targets the enemy unit with lowest health. Then she has Blast that will be maximized in combo with Opportunity. She also has Immunity which makes her a great unit to play in Poison or Burning rulesets.

What's good about Sergeant Grauzral is she gets the the three abilities early at level two. That's the Silver or Gold level that I play in. Players don't have to wait to maximize her to get all her abilities.

Featured Battle

The featured battle had both Noxious Fumes and Junior Varsity rulesets. It was a perfect ruleset for Sergeant Grauzral who has six mana. I chose the Water splinter led by the Frontier archon who adds magic attack to allies. There were not much magic units to choose so I only had two magic units in the team. I included three support units to the team including Sergeant Grauzral. The others are Surgehammer and Razorhound. Surgehammer has the Cleanse ability which is needed in the ruleset while Razorhound buffs the whole team with additional health stats.

The enemy's strategy was to outlast my team and let the poison do the work. He used the Frontier Death archon who debuffed my team's health. Luckily this was countered by Razorhound's buff. He had Ujurak Brave who debuffed my magic attack while also having Immunity ability. He also had Little Sister who increases her health as she does damage. His team also included Arachne Weaver who heals his team while increasing its health with Scavenger ability.

My team had the advantage in speed. Sergeant Grauzral was great in dealing damage with her Opportunity and Blast abilities. Luckily, the enemy units were defeated before they can be healed by Arachne Weaver. The enemy had a tough frontline but I had two units with Opportunity ability who worked together to decimate the enemy back line. This worked well in my favor and won the battle.
