Shadow Hunters SMASh Contest - Round #430 Shadows on my last day of classes [Eng/Esp]
Hey Shadow Hunters friends! Welcome to my entry in the SMASH contest Round #430, the third of June, and we can already feel the first days of summer. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to fully enjoy them because I fell ill with a virus that knocked me out on Friday, and I've been fighting it almost stoically! This Tuesday, I not only finished my theory classes, but I also had to give my students the introduction to my lab practice, which is basically a hematology lab. In short, today was a long day that required all my strength to complete, so I rested almost strictly yesterday, Monday, to wake up in the best possible mood and be able to teach those four continuous hours of class.
The day dawned in the worst possible way, cloudy and rainy. It was as if fate didn't want me to finish my teaching load that day. But duty called. My voice had recovered and the sore throat was gone, so I went and taught my four consecutive hours of classes. I won't lie, I was exhausted and terribly thirsty. I bought a bottle of water and decided to refresh myself on the lab stairs, and there, almost as a kind of reward, the sky cleared and the clouds parted, revealing a radiant sun that gifted me these wonderful shadows I'm sharing with you today. And after all that effort, it felt like a reward, since I had arrived early at the Faculty hoping to capture a couple of worthwhile shadows, but with the overcast sky, it was impossible to get anything interesting. Just as I was about to leave, almost resigned to my fate, I was gifted this shadow projected on the walls of the research lab's stairwell.
This part of the lab buildings is one of my favorites, not only because I can find free Wi-Fi, but also because it tends to create quite interesting shadows depending on the time of day. In this case, it was already 11 a.m., and the long concrete walls intersect with the metal railings that serve as handrails for going down the stairs. These perpendicular shadows are formed where the three railings cast a horizontal shadow that cuts across the shadows of the vertical walls. An interesting perspective because the long shadow of the walls is interrupted by the horizontal shadow of the railings, and as you can see, it's an indicator that we were already close to reaching midday because these 3 railings almost merge into a single shadow.
Well, friends, this was my weekly contribution to this week's SMASH contest. I hope you liked this shadow I managed to capture at the last minute after class. I left quite satisfied with a job well done and having captured this interesting shadow to share with you and fulfill my contribution to this wonderful community. See you in the next contest. Best regards!

Saludos!
