Work meetings are best enjoyed with a cup of coffee! Visit the new Faculty cafeteria! [Eng/Esp]
Happy weekend, Cinnamon Cup Coffee! The days when I have to teach at the Faculty have begun. Since we're in the middle of the dry season, teaching theory and practical classes in the labs is super tiring, and the worst part is the time—11 am, almost noon! So I usually bring breakfast so I don't teach on an empty stomach. But this Friday was different. My tutor called to tell me that they had finally opened the Faculty's new cafeteria and that we could have breakfast there! So I took the opportunity to bring you this coffee blog post where we visited this renovated cafeteria.
I already knew about this café; in fact, I'd attended the opening during the Faculty's commemorative activities. But at that time, they hadn't yet received their espresso machine, so they were only offering breakfasts and lunches with juices and iced tea, but no coffee. I assumed it would be a long time before I'd visit this little café again, but apparently, they understood how important coffee was and got to work on getting the espresso machine. So, we went to this café for a quick breakfast before class. The first thing you saw upon arriving was the bakery section with an assortment of different types of bread. From coconut bread and cornbread to French bread and sugar bread, which is my favorite!
My budget was a bit limited, but I didn't want to miss out on taking some of these breads home, so I decided to buy some sweet rolls for breakfast and some cornbread to take home. To go with the bread, I ordered three coffees: one for my tutor, one for my mother who was with me, and one for myself. Since there was still more than an hour before class started, we sat down at a table to wait for our order.
The coffees arrived soon after! Mine was a fairly light cappuccino, as I like to have it that way for breakfast, and I also like it to be large. I ordered a dark latte for my mother to go with the sweet rolls, and my tutor ordered a coffee as black as the darkest night. I'm still not used to drinking such a strong coffee in the morning, so I always order my usual cappuccino.
We took advantage of the moment to discuss our strategies for successfully completing the semester, since we're halfway through and there's still a lot of work to do. But precisely because a goal is so challenging, teamwork and mutual support are enough to motivate us to achieve any objective, no matter how difficult it may be. And every moment, every meeting, every conversation over a cup of coffee strengthens these professional bonds.
Well, friends, my rating for this newly opened coffee shop is a solid 8.5/10. I was so happy to finally have a decent coffee shop at the Faculty; we haven't had one since the health emergency in 2020. Since then, we've had to go to other faculties just for a simple coffee, but thankfully, that's over now. Finally, I had a chat with the lovely barista who was making the espresso, and I asked if they sold their coffee either as whole beans or ground. She very kindly said yes! They had whole bean coffee, but they were kind enough to grind 250 grams for me and give it to me in this form. It's coffee from the Boconó region in Trujillo State, Venezuela, so I'll be posting a review of this interesting brand next week, so stay tuned. I hope you enjoyed this review, and I wish you a happy and restful weekend. Best regards!

Saludos!
