Happy start to the week, everyone! It's sunset as I write this weekly report. I just enjoyed the caramelized flan I wanted to start this post with. It was quite an experimental dessert since I didn't have any bread to give it consistency, and as a scientist, cooking is like conducting an experiment, only instead of a lab bench, you have a kitchen. The result was mixed because on the one hand, I managed to get it just right in terms of sweetness, but on the other hand, I used cookies for consistency and I think I added too much, and it ended up looking more like a cake than a flan. Next time, we'll adjust the process. Meanwhile, our main cryptocurrency, Hive, has suffered another price collapse, reaching almost $0.049. I had been warned that it would fall drastically again, although it didn't surprise me when I saw that this was a consequence of the precipitous drop in BTC. At this time it has managed to recover to 63K much better than the terrifying 59K of 3 days ago.

I've been carefully considering the potential advantage of exchanging some of my HBD to increase my voting power. Because, as you can see, 1 HBD is currently worth approximately 20 Hives, so if I decided to unlock 500 HBD, I would gain another 10K in HP! It's certainly a risky move, considering the price could fall further, but significantly increasing your HP in a situation like this is worth considering and evaluating.

But let's get back to #MyHiveGoals. Our progress has been hampered because the Hive value dropped right in the middle of the week, affecting the rewards we receive daily for interacting on the blockchain. This has led us to generate 116.65 HP and reach 10,200 HP this week.

Speaking of daily power-ups, just yesterday we completed what would be the Hive Power-Up Month, or #HPUM, although we no longer receive the badges and I believe we also don't receive the delegations for those who completed the challenge. In any case, while it would be desirable for these rewards to return, our goal with these power-ups is to reach our target of 12,000 HP this year, and in this context, we achieved an important milestone this past week: reaching 10,000 HP! As I've mentioned in previous posts, my rewards remain 50% Hive and 50% HP by default. I convert that 50% of liquid Hive into HBD to continue increasing my savings in this stablecoin.

The charts seem to indicate a slowdown, but it's important to consider that last week was #HPUD and this week I only focused on power-ups, which are much smaller than those I do on the 1st of each month. In any case, I'm still considering switching HBD to Hive, but I'm not referring to the HBD I have locked, but rather the ones I receive monthly from APR interest. I'm currently generating 20 HBD monthly, which, if I converted them all to HP, would amount to 400—a significant sum considering the voting power. However, doing so would sacrifice/interrupt my compound interest strategy with the locked HBD I have. It's something I'm seriously evaluating, perhaps not for the remainder of the year, but a couple of months would be enough to accumulate a good amount of HP and rethink a different strategy for 2027.

Now let's talk about HBD, my favorite section. Last week we were accumulating 2,015 HBD, and this week, despite the circumstances, we generated 5,737 HBD. It was a week of low activity, really. I'm just finishing the corrections to my writing today, which I should have finished last week, but I've been making slow progress due to my teaching load and Hive, which has practically become a routine where I always want to publish something.

It's 2 fewer HBDs than last week, but at least we're still well above 5 HBDs. I'm sure that starting this week I'll have more free time to make the pending posts I want to share with the different communities I interact with. However, when it comes to making a post for a community, I want to do it well and not in an improvised way. I can't help it; I'm a scientist and I've been trained that way. If the publication doesn't have a certain level of care and dedication, I prefer to leave it for another day until it's impeccable.

In short, we've already accumulated 2021 HBDs, and the interest is approaching 14 HBDs, with only 8 days left to collect the APR interest. I then have a little over a week to decide whether to use that interest this month to increase my HP position or continue with the compound interest strategy using HBDs.

Es el atardecer al momento de escribir este reporte semanal, acabo de disfrutar el quesillo acaramelado con el que quise abrir este post, fue un postre bastante experimental ya que no contaba con pan para darle consistencia, y como soy científico, cocinar es como hacer un experimento, solo que en lugar de un mesón de laboratorio, tienes una cocina. El resultado fue mixto porque por una parte logre que quedará en su punto de dulzura, pero por otro lado usé galletas para darle consistencia y creo que me excedí en la cantidad y terminó pareciéndose a una torta que a un flan, ya la próxima vez ajustaremos el protocolo. Mientras tanto, nuestra criptomoneda principal, Hive ha sufrido un nuevo debacle en su precio llegando a rozar los 0,049$ ya me habían advertido que volvería a caer drásticamente, aunque no me extrañó al ver que esto fue consecuencia de la caída estrepitosa de BTC. A esta hora ha logrado recuperarse en 63K mecho mejor que los aterradores 59K de hace 3 días.

He estado pensando detenidamente la ventaja que podría ser cambiar parte de mis HBD para aumentar mi poder de voto. Los gráficos parecen indicar una caída del ritmo, pero hay que considerar que la semana pasada fue el #HPUD y esta semana solo me dedique a realizar los power up que son mucho menores a los que hago el 1ero de cada mes. En cualquier caso sigo pensando sobre la idea de cambiar HBD a Hive, pero no me refiero a los HBD que tengo bloqueados, sino a los que recibo mensualmente por los intereses del APR, mensualmente estoy generando 20 HBD que si los cambiara completamente a HP serían 400 una cantidad interesante considerando el poder de voto, pero si lo hago sacrificaría/interrumpiría mi estrategia de interés compuesto con los HBD bloqueados que tengo. Es algo que estoy evaluando seriamente, quizás no en lo que resta del año sino, un par de meses bastaría para acumular una buena cantidad de HP y replantear una estrategia diferente para el 2027.

Ahora vamos con el HBD, mi apartado favorito, la semana pasada veníamos acumulando 2015 HBD y esta semana a pesar de las circunstancias, hemos generado 5.737 HBD esta semana que terminó, fue una semana de poca actividad realmente, justo hoy estoy terminando las correcciones de mi escrito que debí haber terminado la semana pasada pero he estado avanzando lentamente por mi carga docente y Hive que prácticamente se ha convertido en una rutina en el que siempre quiero publicar algún contenido.

Son 2 HBD menos que la semana pasada pero por lo menos aún nos mantenemos por encima de los 5 HBD ampliamente, estoy seguro que a partir de esta semana estaré más libre para hacer los post pendientes que quiero compartir con las distintas comunidades en la que interactúo, solo que cuando se trata de hacer un post para una comunidad quiero hacerlo bien y no de forma improvisada, no lo puedo evitar soy científico y he sido formado de esa manera, si la publicación no tiene un nivel de cuidado y dedicación prefiero dejarlo para otro día hasta que quede impecable.

En resumen, ya llevamos acumulados 2021 HBD y en los intereses ya estamos llegando a los 14 HBD faltando solo 8 días para cobrar los intereses del APR. Tengo entonces poco más de una semana para tomar una decisión si este mes voy a usar esos intereses para aumentar mi posición en HP o continúo con la estrategia de interés compuesto con HBD.

Bien amigos con esto cierro mi balance de #MyHiveGoals, ya estamos a menos de 2000 HP para llegar a nuestra meta anual de 12000 HP y menos de 300 HBD para alcanzar nuestra meta de los 2300 HBD. Nos quedan 6 meses y estoy seguro que será tiempo más que suficiente para alcanzar estas metas. Termino trayéndoles nuevamente esta carta del Volt Event de Splinterlands, si han visto mis reportes anteriores recordarán que tenía 2760 Hives líquidos y decidí invertirlos en esta carta promocional por 10$ cada copia, ahora vale casi el doble! Lo que quiero implicar es que sin saberlo me protegí de la actual caída de precio de Hive y más bien he obtenido ganancias. Todo indica que además de HBD, invertir en ciertos activos particulares como NFT puede ser una manera para protegerse temporalmente de este mercado bajista. Nos vemos en un próximo reporte. Saludos!
