CBDC In The West
Earlier this year there was lots of talk about imminent CBDCs coming to the West.
It never really made sense to me, you would be getting rid of all the middlemen, including the biggest customers and supporters of the Fed (commercial banks).
If you look at the history of the Fed, it's basically a cartel of commercial banking interests. So it really doesn't make sense for these same interests to make themselves irrelevant.
I don't think we are getting CBDCs in the West. As much as people love shitting on the US, we are not the same as a full blown commie dictatorship.
