Femoral artery

Hello everyone, today i would like tell about femoral artery and its branches to you all.

Femoral artery is continuation of external iliac artery and it supplies mainly lower limb structures.

Femoral aretery starts after crossing the inguinal ligament and it gives two branches- 1)superficial epigastric artery
2)superficial circumflex iliac artery
3)superficial external pudendal artery 4)deep external pudendal artery
and then it gives a large branch called profunda femoris and then before it enters into adductor canal it gives descending genicular branch.
These are the main branches of femoral artery.
