Escherichia coli-part 1

Hello everyone,the value of hive still below $1.i don't know whne will it crosses 1$.i would like to tell about few points on E.coli which is Gm-ve,motile,catalse +ve and oxidase-ve,ferments lactose and gives pink colours.

The various strains of E.coli are-

1)EPEC- here P means Pathogenic,it causes infantile diarrhea.it's mechanism of action is adhesion to mucosa by Bundle forming pili which is plasmid coded.

2)ETEC- here T means Toxigenic,it causes traveller's diarrhea.it's mechanism of action is attachment to mucosa by colonisation factor antigen.

3)EIEC- here I means Invasive,it causes dysentery(blood in stools).it's mechanism of action is by invasing epithelial cells by virulence marker antigen.
