GibSunday - Slow Sunday Blues
We have had #TeleTuesday and #Straturday going on here for a while, but we were lacking something for Gibson-type guitars. came up with @GibSunday. Why did I not think of that?
I do not own a Gibson, although I had a sort of fake one for a while. What I do have is my Gordon Smith GS2 that is based on a Les Paul Junior. I bought this back in my student days (many years ago) and it is a great guitar.
I was looking for something to play and found this backing track that I must have downloaded years ago. It is nice and laid back. I have had a nice day with some running and then chores such as going to the dump. Tomorrow is a holiday in the UK, so I can do some other stuff around the house then.
I start off on the neck pickup and switch to the bridge after a while. You will hear this guitar has good sustain. It has a brass nut and a simple, solid bridge that may help with that. I was just winging it and throwing in various techniques around the standard blues scale.
I hope you enjoy more of my guitar faces.
Rock on!
