Description from Strava:
Last night we finally had some rain after a dry few weeks. There is a hosepipe ban that may last a while. This rain was not enough to make a real difference. It rained a little more when I was out running this morning, but not enough to cause me any issues. I do not mind a little bit.
I slept better last night, but was still feeling a bit lacking in energy. I decided to head up to Langford as is it a nice run in the countryside. I saw a few other runners out there, but it can be fairly quiet on those trails.
I came back via Clifton and that keeps me away from the roads a bit. I stopped to see how the ducks were doing at Duckingham Palace. I am not sure I had noticed the big goldfish in the pond before, but there were some young moorhens in there too.
After that stop I seemed to have more energy and the running got easier for a while. I ran across the big field near Henlow Grange where a small dog followed me for a while before the owner called it off.
I was feeling tired by the time I got back to Arlesey so just took it easy to get home.
I had half a banana and some water before I went out. Whilst running I found some blackberries that gave me an extra snack. When I got back I had the rest of the banana and some strawberries with granola and oat milk plus some orange juice to drink.
Enjoy your Sunday and run free!
