Description from Strava:
I was at a work event in Leicester last night. We were at the Space Centre, which is worth a visit if you like rockets and science. I was not drinking, but got back to the hotel fairly late. I was up in time for parkrun and one of my colleagues said he was coming too. My issue was that I did not take my charging cable to the hotel room and so my phone was low on charge. It navigated me too the park and just about got me back.
I met Harry at Victoria Park for what would be his first parkrun. The course is 3 laps of the park plus an extra little loop at the start to make up the distance. It is all on paths with a bit of a hill at the end of each lap.
It was a warm morning with lots of people there. We ran together and had a bit of a chat. We got lapped by the leaders as we finished our first full lap. That is too be expected at my pace as i was not trying too hard
It was a nice place to run and I am happy enough with my time. That is my 12th different location and third new one this year.
I did not get a proper breakfast as I just had the biscuits from the hotel room. I had a coffee when I got back for a shower and stopped for a sandwich on the drive today. We had a nice meal last night so I was not hungry.
Have a great weekend and run free.
