Had a Quick Date with my Husband, eating “Pancit Cabagan”, I discovered a Chewy Candy Matcha Flavor and had a Pork Adobo for Dinner
Hello Hivers of this community! How are you all doing today?
Yesterday, me and my husband gone to the market to restock our mini sari sari store again. It’s like every week it became our routine since we had our small business. After buying all the things needed for our sari-sari store, we decided to have a quick date. Since we had a child, we often go out and eat just the two of us.
We decided to eat at a restaurant wherein they serve an authentic pancit from Cabagan, Isabela. This pancit is known as “pancit cabagan”. Aside from egg there’s a lumpia, and the carabeef as toppings of the pancit. We really used to date on a restaurant back then. When you have the chance to visit the north here in the Philippines this pancit was really a must try. After having a quick date with my husband, we bought some pasalubong for our kids, I feel a guilt every time I eat out without my children, haha.
On the grocery that we had bought the things needed for our sari-sari store, I discovered this new chewy candy, and what I like about this candy was it was flavored matcha which is my favorite. I really used to eat candy when I’m writing my blog. It becomes my fuel to think I guess, haha. This candy was totally great, not too much sweet and it was chewy. The flavor of matcha really compliments the chewiness of the candy.
Time was really fast and its dinner time again, so I decided to cooked this easy recipe of pork which is pork adobo.
I only cooked half kilo of pork. The pork in our place was really expensive, and half kilo was just enough for us. The ingredients I prepared for this are garlic, pepper, soy sauce sugar to balance the taste and vinegar.
I chopped the pork meat into cubes and wash it thoroughly, chopped the garlic. I mix the pork meat together with garlic, pepper and 5 cups of water enough to make the pork meat soft and tender.
I bring it to boil and set the fire into low-medium heat, when the water is reduced, I added the half cup of soy sauce and 2 tsp. sugar and 1 bps. Vinegar. Covered the casserole and mix it from time to time so that the bottom wouldn’t burn. When the oil is already coming out from the pork meat. Cooked for another minute, then it’s ready to be serve.
I also added some boiled egg for this recipe, because it compliments the sauce of the pork adobo.
Then we have it, a simple easy recipe for pork adobo. This dish, was really good when partnered with white rice.
That’s all my dear hiver friends of this community. Till’ next food blog! Have a great day 😊.
