Recipe for a Duck Meat, Spicy “Adobo sa Gata” or cooked in Soy Sauce with Coconut Milk
Hello again my friends of Hive Food community. Today’s food recipe was from a duck meat which we call “adobo sa gata” because it was cooked with soy sauce and to make it more delicious, we are going to put some coconut milk here on this recipe.
Join me again on my humble kitchen as I show you how it was cooked.
Ingredients:
2 kg duck meat
2 pcs. potatoes
2 pcs. carrots
2 tsp. pepper
½ cup soy sauce
1 ½ cup coconut milk
2 tbsp. oyster sauce
1 onion
5 cloves garlic
1 thumb-sized ginger
Seasonings
2 pcs. red chili
3 pcs. laurel leaves
Cooking Time: In a pressure cooker, cooked the duck meat for about 30 minutes so that it would become tender and soft.
After cooking in a pressure cooker, set aside. In a pan sauté the onions, garlic and ginger until it becomes aromatic, add back the duck meat then sauté for 3 minutes and add the pepper.
After the meat was already combined with the aromatics; we can now add the soy sauce and coconut milk. Add also the seasonings like oyster sauce, laurel leaves, red chilis. Mix it then add the carrots and potatoes that was cut into cubes.
I also added some crackers to make the sauce thick. You can use any kind of this cracker just make sure it was plain and no fillings.
Cook until the vegetables are soft and tender. Then ready to serve.
We now have a delicious dinner for today. Spicy “Adobo sa Gata” or duck meat cooked in soy sauce with coconut milk. This food recipe was always cooked whenever there is an occasion like birthday here in our place.
That’s all my dear friends. Hope you like my food recipe today, Till’ next food blog. Have a wonderful day to everyone 😊. Sincerely, @saijan19
