Cassava Balls With Coconut Milk Sauce
Hi bloggers and community, greetings! I hope you are all doing well. This is my first time writing here. I'm starting with a recipe for cassava balls with coconut milk sauce. Cassava is one of the most readily available ingredients where I live. We usually make this dish as a sweet dessert. Okay, let's get started
Ingredients:
- 1 cassava (600 grams)
- a pinch of salt
- 200 grams of palm sugar
- 200 grams of tapioca flour
- 1 sachet of instant coconut milk
- water
- 1 pandan leaf
Steps:
- Peel the cassava
- Clean it, then cut it into small pieces and soak it in water for about 1 hour
- Prepare a steamer, then steam the cassava until soft
- Once soft, remove it and let it cool, then mash it with a glass or pestle and mortar.
- Add a pinch of salt and the tapioca flour little by little until well mixed.
- Shape the cassava into small balls.
- Set aside.
- Heat water and palm sugar in a pan until melted.
- Once the sugar has dissolved, add the cassava balls.
- Add pandan leaves for aroma.
Cook until boiling.
Make tapioca starch solution with water.
- Add the tapioca solution.
Check the sweet cassava balls to see if they are cooked.
Turn off the heat and let cool.
- Take a smaller pan and add coconut milk to it.
Add a pinch of salt and cook briefly over medium heat until it simmers.
Turn off the heat and let it cool.
- Prepare a bowl/glass and add the sweet cassava balls to it.
- Pour the coconut milk sauce over it.
- The savory sweet cassava balls with coconut milk sauce are ready to serve.
