Fried Shrimp with Mayonnaise
Hi bloggers and food lovers, how are you all doing? I hope you’re having a great time at the end of this month. Today I’m going to share a recipe that’s simple, delicious, and easy to make. This fried shrimp with mayonnaise is one of my favorite dishes when I eat at Chinese restaurants—it has a sweet, savory, and slightly tangy flavor from the mayonnaise sauce. Okay, let’s get right to it.
Ingredients:
- 5 shrimp
- 1 egg white
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 3 tbsp rice flour
- a pinch of salt
- a pinch of pepper
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- cooking oil
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions:
- Peel and clean the shrimp
- Split the shrimp like this
- Crack the egg and add only the egg white to the bowl containing the shrimp
- Add the cornstarch, baking soda, and a pinch of salt to the shrimp
- Mix everything together and marinate the shrimp for at least 1 hour
- After 1 hour, prepare the all-purpose flour, rice flour, and pepper in a new bowl
- Coat the shrimp with the flour mixture
- Place the shrimp in the preheated oil
- Fry the shrimp briefly until golden brown
- Remove and drain
- Put mayonnaise in a bowl
- Add sweetened condensed milk to it
- Add pepper powder, milk and lemon juice to it
- Stir and mix all the ingredients together
- Add the fried shrimp to the mayonnaise sauce
- Toss until the shrimp are coated with the mayonnaise sauce
- Sprinkle with toasted black sesame seeds and chopped green onions
- Fried shrimp with mayonnaise are ready to eat
