PlatON 1.6.0 network update

PlatON 1.6.0 just received a network update to support ETH compatibility and network fixes.

On July 3rd, the official X account of PlatON Network made a publication of it's Monthly Report showcasing previous and ongoing events carried out for the month of June and one of such event was related to PlatON 1.6.0 network update.

PlatON 1.6.0 is now compatible with Ethereum geth v1.12.1. The upgrade focuses on supporting EIP-4844 and the layered refactoring of the transaction pool (txpool), with compatibility adaptations completed to align these enhancements with PlatON’s architecture and protocol modifications.

In simpler term, PlatON became more compatible with Ethereum latest fixes from the likes of geth v1.12.1 to supporting EIP-4844.

As many of you aware, PlatON was actually forked from Geth years ago and overtime it has learnt to incorporate and supports various DApps, the recent upgrade rebases PlatON’s code to match Geth v1.12.1 so it can inherit all the latest Ethereum bug fixes, performance improvements, and new features.

Moving on, PlatON also announced it's support for EIP-4844, similar to Ethereum network update done months back, it aim to increase network scalability, reduce transaction cost across Ethereum layers and DApps. PlatON support for EIP-4844 will allow DApps and various contracts deployed on PlatON to be achieved at a far cheaper cost as opposed to previous times. Generally, this will help DApp to easily port into PlatON and also reduce cost for newer apps been built.
