Hello everyone!

This is a compilation post that will serve as a summary and status of the onboarding program. For those who are late to the party, OCD's onboarding program aims to bring more users to Hive and retain those users through the curation of posts submitted by the onboarders.

Anyone who's active in Hive is invited to apply as an OCD onboarder. Please see the details of the application process at the end of this post.

I am currently living here in the province of medellin to study, i am a grade 12 stem student here at MNSTS (Medellin National Science & Technology School) and will soon transfer to the city to study for college, and if yall ask what course i will be taking, ill be taking nursing. Nursing wasn’t really my first choice, Growing up i always wanted to be a Hotel Manager, i know it sounds lame but i really loved organizing, decorating, communicating with others, and etc. But time by time things changed, when i turned 12 ive known that some of my aunts was a flight attendant, at first i didn’t really mind, but when they told their success and achievements, i was really really flabbergasted. Like imagine they flew to different kinds of countries, that was like my dream since i was a kid, to go to different countries, but then again time by time i changed my mind, then there goes nursing, and as day passes i was sure enough to pursue nursing.

Konnichiwa! You can call me James and I am 21 years of age currently located at Compostela, Cebu. Currently finished 3rd year college at Cebu Technological University Danao Campus, pursuing the course Bachelor in Industrial Technology major in Computer. I am not really vocal but when we are close enough, I can vibe with you. I enjoy playing video games like Valorant and Mobile Legends. I really like being competitive on games but now I’m focusing on living life rather than being really competitive so I’m playing games for fun as of now. I enjoy going to gym and riding motorcycle also.

Hailing from the beautiful Municipality of Compostela, Cebu is a man who lives an ordinary and simple life but dreams big, not just for himself but as well as for the significant people who helped lift him into where he is now. And yes, that man is me. While reading this, maybe you might ask yourself "What is this man up to life?", "What are his goals?", "Why is he here on Hive?" So sit back, relax, and let's travel and walk through the tale of my life.

Growing up in Kaduna state I was exposed to various lifestyles of the street but God still kept me close (I felt special saying that) and didn't let me wander far from Him, life on the street was something else (very long story) but not to bore you with a very long story, I would say God's Hand was upon me... I was in the street but the life of the street wasn't in me, I had friends... I was friends with the good, the bad and the ugly because I was a sports person... I was good in Football, Table tennis, and volley ball but God made me a very hard person to influence (especially negatively). so with that nature I was able to maintain a healthy and balanced relationship on the street that didn't affect my relationship with God.

My mother decided to name me this because she came across a children’s pageant show with a cute, pretty candidate bearing the same name at a mall. Since she and my father’s names all started in J (Jocelyn and Jeraffy, respectively), she decided to capture it. After 3 years, they gave birth to my sister and named her Jade Kimberly, the last J of the family. As a nickname, J in Janie is pronounced as “H” so, it can be read as “Hanie” like honey and served as my parents’ endearment to each other.

Joining Hive feels like the start of something fresh, a new chapter, a new community, a new place to let creativity breathe. I know it takes courage to put your work out there, to say, "This is me." But I also know that when writers, artists, and thinkers come together, powerful things happen. So if you're reading this, thank you for being part of the beginning. I can't wait to read your words, celebrate your stories, and grow with this incredible hive of creators. Here's to showing up. To sharing. To finding and being your people.

OCD's onboarding program is conceptualized to be a powerful mechanism in attracting and retaining new content creators. Since incentives are given to active onboarders, it could be a nice income generation for those who wanted to focus more in inviting new users to Hive. If you want to be an onboarder, join us in OCD's Discord Server and write your application in #onboarder-application channel. Your application must contain the following:

Once you've applied, there will be a vetting process. We will check your on-chain activity to make sure that you can be trusted. Once you're in, you have the capacity to make an invite link using OCD's account creation token, invite anyone you think is a good addition to Hive with a quick and no SMS required account creation, nominate the posts of your invites through a special channel for curation, and get beneficiary rewards both from the users you've invited, posts like these and more benefits in the future!

Be warned that you are responsible for your invites. Meaning, their activity reflects on how you mentor them. Any suspicious activity of your invite can be a ground for your expulsion in the program. Make sure that before they start posting in Hive, you already oriented them on the activities to avoid such as plagiarism.
