Other Niche Communities Curation Report #2213

OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 2213th compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

How this Works

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

Un nuevo vestido para Jade [Esp/Eng]

Hi there, how are you all doing, friends? The week has officially begun; I hope you had a weekend that helped clear your minds and that everything goes really well for everyone this coming week.

I spent today at home and got stuck into making a little dress for Jade; it’s been a while since I’ve made her anything, but I also took the opportunity to make a batik dress for my niece, which I mentioned a while back – there were supposed to be two, but I hadn’t made the other one yet.

Knowledge is only valuable if it is shared / El conocimiento solo vale si se comparte (eng-esp)

I've seen brilliant people, with more than enough experience, who never utter a word that could be useful to someone else. Not out of prudence, but out of fear? Fear that someone else will know the same thing and they'll cease to be special, that they'll lose something? Fear of losing a supposed advantage?

When the Heat Turns Farming Into a Struggle

Since last month, we have already started experiencing increasingly hot weather. This month, the heat has become even more intense. When the weather is clear, we are often able to witness beautiful sunsets especially when viewed by the beach, where the colors appear even more stunning. However, as beautiful as these sunsets are, the same heat and clear conditions that create them also bring negative effects on farming.

Full Sail IPA at Capones for Beer Saturday

Here we are, another week, another Beer Saturday. I actually have time to post this week (just about! Yep life is hectic)

It was my eldest son's thirteenth birthday yesterday, so we went to his favourite Italian's Capones for dinner.

A Golden Moment: Yesterday’s Sunset View

Yesterday was one of those days where nature decided to put on a magical show. Around 5 o'clock, I was sitting on my balcony. I had a warm cup of coffee in my hand, and I was getting my mind ready for my work shift.

When I looked up, I couldn't believe my eyes. The sky was a soft, pale blue. At first, there were almost no clouds at all. It looked so peaceful and still. I knew right then that I couldn't just let the moment go by. I had to grab my camera and start taking photos.

Arte y cultura por todas partes|Art and culture everywhere

Hello dear users! I'm one of those people who stops to admire the elderly working on the streets. I love seeing the artistry and culture of each of these individuals. Their eyes are tired, their hands tremble, yet they possess a strong will, a genuine pride in still being able to provide for their families through their hard work. They are people who don't give up easily.

Mango de Hilachas//Poema,"Agridulce" [ESP-ENG]

Speaking of mangoes, I want to tell you that there are five mango trees at my mother's house. She eagerly awaited the season we're currently experiencing, between April and May. She would prepare to go to the land that she and my father had lovingly filled with plants, to harvest those delicious mangoes that began to fall each morning. She called them "Dripping Mangoes" because they had just fallen, bathed in the morning dew.

🎵Music community. Encuentro - Luis Ramirez. Original Composition for Violin/Guitar.

Authenticity in life is becoming increasingly scarce. So many people want to be like someone else, acting in ways that garner social approval, drive sales, or go "viral." In contrast, those of us who desire to be genuine tend to be a bit more rebellious. We know how to say "no" to anything that threatens our identity and convictions. Generally, being ourselves brings more problems than solutions, because the world doesn’t want you to be yourself—it wants you to be just another copy of whoever they put on your screen.

Transplanting the tomato and pepper plants [Eng/Esp]

Hello, friends of Hive and Hive Garden, I hope you’re all well. I wanted to let you know today that I’ve finally started transplanting the Margariteño tomato and pepper plants that I’d been meaning to move, as they’ve grown quite a bit and needed more space.

Una seguidilla de catástrofes silenciosas [esp-eng]

Saturdays are ‘market’ days, when street stalls sell fresh produce such as fruit and vegetables. So I went out with my mum, we took the trolley and headed to the bus stop. The journey was uneventful; when we reached the train station, I calmly went down the stairs to top up my BIP card, whilst my mum waited for me at the top. As I was going down, I had a slight stumble which, fortunately, came to nothing; to be honest, I didn’t think much of it.
