Other Niche Communities Curation Report #2223

OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 2223rd compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

How this Works

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

THE BIRD FESTIVAL.

In previous posts, I've told you about Finquita del Arte (Little Art Farm). It's a space where the arts and agroecology come together. And it's also been discovered that in April and May, it becomes home to many migratory birds. That's why this year they decided to create the bird festival with community participation.

An educational activity to preserve our traditions!

I want to share with you some details of an activity carried out at the educational institution where I work, called "Rescuing Our Traditions." This activity originated from the CRP (Creation, Recreation, and Production) department with the goal of rescuing those beautiful traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation. We wanted to approach it not only from a recreational perspective but also from the perspective of gastronomy and the customs of our country or region—those things that identify us and make us feel proud.

[Esp/Eng] ✨Lindo organizador de escritorio. // Cute desk organizer.✨

Good afternoon, friends! I hope you're having a wonderful week. I'm happy to stop by and share a lovely idea with you. This time, I'm sharing the step-by-step instructions for making a cute desk organizer. I wanted to design something with a sea theme; I thought about a couple of fish, but in the end, I decided on other marine-themed items, haha, like a cute lighthouse with an anchor and a small wooden boat, plus some extra elements like starfish and bubbles.

Cuando la esperanza pisa arenas movedizas (SPA-ENG)

You'll agree that hope comes from the verb "to hope" and that, over time, influenced by the religious sphere, it entails optimism for the future. However, the future doesn't exist; it's built with actions in the here and now. In that sense, waiting for good things doesn't make sense on its own: hope is built with the actions we take in the eternal present that consumes our lives.

Our Own Neighbor Is A Monster: 'The Devil Next Door' by Netflix...

Sometimes we think we know our neighbors. And if you stop and think about it, that assumption makes perfect sense. They're people who, in many ways, share life alongside us. They live in the same neighborhoods, deal with roughly the same everyday struggles and advantages, and belong to the same community. What's fascinating is that appearances can be incredibly misleading. Not everything is what it seems. This is precisely what makes the real and thoroughly documented story of Ivan the Terrible feel stranger than fiction itself.

Books Finally! (:

Mipiano reminded me today, through her blog tag, that I have two half-finished blog posts for her wonderful community, just waiting there in drafts. As is usually the case, I'm always late to respond to interesting topics, or for some unknown reason I am posting things that go completely against the theme, almost as if it's intentional. xD The same thing has happened this time as well. I don't even remember when books and our bookshelves were the focus, maybe a few months ago..

One weekend, an inflatable pool and happiness

Sometimes I feel like we are bombarded with messages that sell us happiness with a price tag, like a brand-new car, a beach vacation, a house with a garden and a pool, as if that were the mandatory passport to truly smile.

Now, it is true that I don’t have a pool at home, nor luxuries, and my close relatives live the same way: with just enough, but with something money can’t buy.

SEGMENTS - (PHOTOGRAPHY SERIES)

These are street photos, yes, but they're the kind where there's a certain intimacy or more explicit communion between what I observe and myself. Because in the streets I don't just see streets—and I know that sounds strange—but it turns out that in the streets, I also see things looking at me and bearing witness to my thoughts. But, geez, that last part sounds even stranger. So, perhaps, it's best to simply say that these photos are "SEGMENTS"; small, or not so small, portions of a less complex whole that is the town itself. And, again, that last part sounds even stranger, so I conclude that my photos increasingly resemble me observing the typical complexity of the things that go through my head; Sometimes in large groups, other times sparsely and almost alone, like those parakeets that stay behind when the flocks migrate in the afternoon... And yes, my photos are increasingly resembling what's happening in this dance of thoughts that no longer seem so much my own as before...

SEO Planning for a New Niche Health Blog

Health has long been an interest of mine. I studied human biology, biology, and child development at school and college. More recently, I led a community-based peer education Expert Patient Programme, helping people with long-term health conditions such as diabetes make lifestyle changes that improved their quality of life. Working with community groups, we provided more than 2,000 places for people across inner-city London boroughs.
