Other Niche Communities Curation Report #2199

OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 2199th compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

How this Works

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

EN/ES | Hive Open Mic week 309| THE FAST WAY

Greetings, Hive Open Mic community. I hope you're all doing great. I'm sharing my latest entry with you once again; I try to stay consistent and keep active week after week. Thank God there’s been work to do, and I'm pushing myself to keep up with my Hive activities because it's something I truly enjoy.

The colour of Spring washes away the Winter blues

The daffodils are out too and Wordsworth's beautiful poem comes to mind.

Wednesday Walk : Mont Blanc, Québec

For this new #WednesdayWalk hosted by tattoodjay@tattoodjay, I'm suggesting, as is often the case during winter in Quebec, a WednesdaySki at the Mont-Blanc resort. This shouldn't be confused with the highest peak in Europe, Mont Blanc. They aren't the same altitude: 4805 meters vs. 545 meters. A little difference 😀...

Bajo la lupa: La vulnerabilidad de ser mujer en un mundo de juicios. [ESP/ENG]

Continuing with the points I touched on above, vulnerability has changed because it's no longer something you control; it's become something others use to judge you. If you think about it, before, if you had a bad day or gained weight, that stayed within your private circle. Now, posting online is synonymous with exposing more of your life. You're under society's microscope, waiting for them to find the slightest flaw in what you say, do, or don't do. Let's take an example: vulnerability used to be like opening a door to your house (you decided when and to whom to show your inner self), while today it's like living in a glass house. Even if you live in privacy, you'll always find someone around you who judges without considering the consequences and finds something in you that they perceive as flawed.

Green pea croquettes with two secret ingredients [ENG-ESP]

Greetings, dear friends and lovers of vegan food. It's always good to try something different in the kitchen that is both delicious and nutritious. It had been a while since I had made pea croquettes, and I thought they would be great for dinner and to add a little variety to the menu, and why not for breakfast and lunch too? I wanted to eat vegan, croquettes with salad, but these croquettes have two secret ingredients: olives and capers.

Good Food vs. bad restaurant || en-es

Has it ever happened to you that you go to a place for which you have a super high expectation, and when you get there you say, 'Is that all?' I hope I'm not the only one, because I don't know if I've become old or if my mind no longer processes novelty, uniqueness, and it seemed like a complete disappointment compared to the place I'm going to tell you about next.

Another day of training for future scaffolders (ENG - ESP)

Today I'm sharing another day of activities at my job. Three days ago, I showed you the start of the training for young people who want to begin their internships as scaffolders. I mentioned that, for now, they are familiarizing themselves with everything related to scaffolding equipment: maintenance, storage, material selection, and the different types of components, among other aspects. Today, thank God, I'm feeling a bit better. Remember that during the last training session I was sick and quite discouraged, but we still managed to get the job done.

Summer in March

So if another season suddenly appeared, I would probably love that one instantly as well. I am thinking now about how that would look, without connecting it to the four seasons we already have. Do not know. I cannot imagine anything so unusual and different that it would earn its place among these twelve months. Even we who used to have the regular four seasons seem to be moving toward having only two, and here I am dreaming about introducing a fifth one. Silly me. xD

Growing paprika at home 🌱🫑🌿

I've always loved gardening at home. Not only does it guarantee that we can harvest our own vegetables and fruit, but it's also a very stress-relieving activity for me, especially since I live in a country where excessive worry exceeds all limits.
