Finding Comfort in Foods I Never Get Tired Of
Before I'd say I don't really have a favourite meal, I just enjoy a lot of food as the foodie that I am. But recently, I've been learning about some meals that I just enjoy no matter the number of times I eat them in a week. I figured they are my favourite or are slowing becoming my favourites.
Yeah, I still don't like to say I have favourites when it comes to food because my curious self wants to explore more meals before I decide on one that beats every one of them for me lol. But so far, thankfully I've explored a good number of meals, I think I have a few the top the list for me.
I must say though, there are really delicious meals out there. Some I've tasted that never looked delicious until I tasted them, it's a surprise the variety of meals we have out there and sometimes I wish I could taste every single one of the ones tagged as most delicious in regions.
Since that is yet to happen, here are my top favourite food... There are two but trust me, there's a whole lot of food that comes out of both of them when I explore recipes and I've been doing that a lot for them. I think it's why I've been enjoying them, almost every day in every week.
I love Eggs...
Give me eggs on noodles, rice, spaghetti or any other combination, boiled or fried or scrambled, in whatever form it comes as a recipe, I'm so in for it. I spent a whole month eating at least one egg a day intentionally and it felt so good as I started to look forward to each day because of it.
I've recently learned how much I need eggs in my meals to gain healthy weight and I'm interested in gaining some weight so I've been more intentional in taking more eggs or adding eggs to my meals when I can. Good thing, I love it so much, it tastes so good in whatever it's prepared.
I love Beans...
Like eggs, I can have my beans in different combos like with potatoes, yam, garri, rice, bread, stew and lots more. I recently learned of a new recipe using beans, I'm definitely going to recreate it soon because it does look delicious just by looking at it. I'm all in for any beans recipe, I've really enjoyed the meal all my life.
It was a bit heart breaking when I learned that beans doesn't contain as much protein as carbohydrates as I was made to believe until I grew older. It was nice to think that I was consuming so much protein that was building my body lol. Anyways, the truth didn't stop me from enjoying this beans in both nice and local dishes.
I know you can already guess that I have more favourite meal, especially soups but I'll pick these two anytime, anywhere and any day lol. They are my all-time favorite and no other meal is yet to beat their taste and the versatility in preparation.
