My first post here in quite some time… Good coffee continues to be around wherever I go!
Hey, fellow coffee lovers, how are you? I have been missing for some time now, because as you may know my wife was in a severe car crash. Luckily, she is recovering well for now and is feeling a lot better! She is already dealing with many daily activities, but I am still the adult in the family who has to bear all the housework and taking care of kids as well.
But even that the times are quite difficult for our family, we are happy to be together and to be celebrating together again.
6 years ago it was our wedding day and we are already 5 people. Thinking about that, we see how happy we are and how much we have already achieved. This beautiful cake was prepared for us from the Specialty Place 23 - our favorite place for specualty coffee in our town. These “bento” cakes gained popularity lately and it is our second time to enjoy one.
And as you can see the kids are pretty excited about the seeet treat itself! Of course their favorite things to eat are cakes, sweets and various bisquits. Even when they are full, they still have place for a piece of cake.
But… after all this community is about coffee, right?
My wife still has to visit the hospital for regular health checks and for arraging the folowing surgeries’ schedule. When we finish with all of these we have a bit of free time in the capital. We tend to visit another favorite place of us, because it has a good parking opportunity in the building itself and it is a Dabov coffee shop.
Although I buy more than 1 kg of specialty coffee beans from their online shop, we still find oursepves very happy when we go there and have some peaceful moments to enjoy a cup of brilliant taste. And look of the cups! Although they look like ordinary ones, they don’t have handles. Brilliant! I don’t k ow why, but all my coffee cups and the ones that I prefer are missing handles.
And the coffee! Oh, it was amazing! The last time we visited the place, I decided to try this Anaerobic coffee from Ethiopia. I tend to buy this kind of beans, but usually we brew them on our V60 at home. And I definitely wanted to try them on espresso too! To be honest, they tasted amazing… so fruitful and a bit sourish, with this sweetness following in the mouthfeel. I live the complexity that was seeved to me in this cup. Perfection in many layers and this in the amazing surroundings of the Dabov specialty coffee shop.
I habe to mention that this is also their biggest location and a place where they organize different coffee training courses and various set of events. And just like their other locations, the furniture is a bir archaic. A lot different like the trending modern and simplistic interior design.
And last but not least, this coffee place gives us a great opportunity to try some more exotic coffees without having to buy a whole bag of beans. If we don’t like the flavor, then we dont have to “enjoy” something we don’t really like.
This was a special carbonic maceration coffee, which cost about $25 per bag of 200g beans, and I really didn’t found it that exciting and worth buying. Yet I and my wife had the opportunity to enjoy a jug of filtered coffee brewed with these beans.
This will have to end my post now, because my other tasks at home are waiting. Wish you a beautiful day and see you really soon.
Bye!
