Fulfillment Is A Mindset.
I must say this is a huge topic. Talking of fulfillment and being fulfilled. In all honesty, I actually do not think being fulfilled is something that's so easy to achieve, I mean life will always throw it different shades at you. So it's not even an easy feat to achieve. While you're planning on achieving your goals and all of that, various things began to show up, and then you realize that there are stages to life and that life will not always follow your script. I'm not saying it is not possible, I'm just saying it is not an easy feat, and it not being easy to achieve is what makes it fulfilment.
Some years back, you might have been glad you're doing well and have achieved greatness, in short you feel accomplished, check it again today and tell me if you still feel the same. What I'm saying is, there's stages to life just like I said earlier, you might be working towards a thing believing that what you've achieved it then every other thing is sorted, then after finally accomplishing that thing we aimed for, we celebrate, and all of that, and before long another thing shows up and we began to see every reason to achieve that too. This is not greedines, nah this is life. This is human.
For me, I honestly do not believe that achievement alone is enough to give lasting fulfillment. I say that because those things fade with time, after you achieve one, another shows up and then another and then another, and so on. That is why I personally believe that fulfillment is more of a mindset. You wake up each day feeling grateful for that which you have, while still working towards that which you're dreaming of.
And that is where happiness comes in. Like a post I made earlier this week, you don't work to live, you live to work. So now, what I'm saying is that as you create, work, invest, build and do all of those things that lead to fulfillment, try as much as possible to see the happiness in what you're doing, that way you feel fulfilled.
I don't know if to add this since I believe a lot of us would have seen people like that. People who have very little yet they are content, you see them living fine and happy, and you can't but wonder how that is possible, and then you see some who you feel can be your role model, people we really know to have achieved greatness and reached the peak of their career yet they feel empty. They only try as much as possible to be always busy maybe that way they don't feel it too much. That should tell you that fulfillment cannot and should not be measured by success alone.
And being permanently fulfilled is still something I wouldn't want to agree on, like I said earlier, this is a huge topic. Let's say only if not in the sense of wanting anything anymore.
