Willow water

I had heard before that willow water was good for plants, and then I saw a woman's garden that was doing great. When I asked her for advice, she told me to use willow water.I think I even tried something last year, I'm not 100% sure.
I decided to do some research and my investigation led me to the conclusion that willow water is actually great for plants.

Willow contains indole butyric acid and salicin.
Indole butyric acid, abbreviated IBA, is actually a growth hormone that willow contains in high concentrations. It stimulates root growth in cuttings and plants.
And salicin is chemically similar to aspirin, which strengthens the immunity of plants to more easily defend themselves against infections and diseases.
Even we humans can drink willow tea for headaches, rheumatism, joint pain, of course if you are not sensitive to aspirin.

We set out in search of a willow tree. Since the willow loves water and the Danube is close to us, we went to the Danube.This was a family quest for a willow tree.

To make willow water, we need young willow twigs that are green or yellow in color, never brown
Because young twigs retain the most growth hormones.We found a few willows that we could approach more easily.

We collected a full bucket of young willow twigs.

In addition to the young twigs, we need to cut them all into 3-5 cm lengths, all the leaves can also be cut for faster preparation.
We collected 2.5 kg. You need to know how many chopped twigs you have. Because 200 grams of chopped willow twigs go into a liter of water.

When you have chopped it all up, pour it over with warm water, not boiling or too cold. And let it sit for 24-48 hours.The water should darken, turn brown.
Then strain it.
We have to do it tomorrow.
You can put your cuttings in that water, water your seedlings or plants that need to get stronger.
And if you have excess, pour it into a bottle and put it in the refrigerator. This way you can store willow water for up to two months.

I will test in a few days and expect good results.
