We are starting this first one totally stunned, yesterday we recorded 41 degrees. It is like some semi-official information, the phones showed 41, the radio stations reported 40, and officially it was 39. We have mercury thermometers that measure up to 50 degrees and they were full, I was afraid they would burst so I put them away in the deep shade. I know how they officially measure the temperature at a height of two meters in a ventilated house, with a horizontal thermometer ... anyway, we hope that yesterday was the peak of the heat wave, since today it is 33 degrees and tomorrow they announce below 30.

Of course the plants were also trembling, we managed to just water them well to survive the heat wave, many of them are under shade netting. But it was really hard to do anything in the garden. So we relaxed a little by the pool. The grass took off a little but now we have to fight it.

One apricot passes by and another apricot arrives, which is a different kind. I have a third one, but it still has green apricots on it.

The roses are still blooming, the albition has a lot more flowers, and the hibiscus is also blooming.

I hid my red pepperoni in the shade of the cypress trees.

One young fig tree has done well, and the big fig tree is even better.

And we also found a new pet, she is about three months old and we call her Cicko.

And one of our succulents, Houseleek, is getting ready to bloom or is blooming. I'm not sure.

While there was an invasion of zucchini, now there is an invasion of cucumbers, the cucumber in the small front garden is slowly climbing into the arch of rebar.

Palm trees naturally grow more slowly, can you see their progress?

The pepper, which is spicy and hot, is not in the shade and has tolerated the heat well.

A portion of the sweet corn was damaged by the heat wave and the scorching sun. Although grass had taken over, it was still lagging behind in growth.

The rest of the garden, which is in the shade, has withstood this heat without any problems, only the other part of our peppers has been overgrown with grass. It's not over yet, but ours have work to do.
